YELLOW FRAMES. I would like to make a few remarks to the couples in the yellow frames. From left to right and in the same generation from top to bottem: • Arien Pontius Boersema marries Grietje Pieters Bos in 1722. • Their son Pieter Ariens marries Fokeltje Theodorus Langeland in 1753 and moves from    Den Ham to Garmerwolde. He will be the successor of his father in law Theodorus Freerks Langeland. Shortly before his marriage with Geeske Freerks Boelens in 1767, Pieter Ariens buys the farm ‘Langeland’ of Bouke Ariens.  The children from both marriages call themselves ‘Langeland’ (see also the following relationship diagram) (b). • Martha Rennes (widow of Theodorus AP Langeland) marries Freerk Jacobs Alma in 1792. • Derk Jacobs Bos marries Alagonda Freerks Langeland, granddaughter of Geert Sierts and Theodora Freerks Langeland, in 1792  (see also the following relationship diagram).

In the following three cases the bride descends from Otto Rempts and Hendrikje Jans: • Jacobus Pieters Bos marries Margaret (Etje) Willems Bos in 1838 (see also the relationship diagram in the introduction). • Jacobus Bos marries in 1864 with Maria ten Oever, daughter of Jan Cornelis ten Oever and Johanna Egbertus Wienkes Kamphuis. • Theodorus Bonifatius Bos trouwt in 1893 met Anna Petronella Bos, dochter van Johannes Willems Bos en Reina Scholtens. The following three cases bride and groom descend directly from Arien Pontius Boersema and Gretel Pieters Bos. So they are relatives, but not such that a dispensation is required for marriage : • In 1921 Jacobus Johannes Bos marries Johanna Regnera Bos, daughter of Jurrien Bos and Fredrica Regiena Halsema. • In 1924 Johannes Jacobus Fredericus Bos marries Regnera Johanna Maria Bos, daughter of Jurrien Bos and Fredrica Regiena Halsema. • In 1923 Johannes Petrus Bos marries Anna Catharina Bos, daughter of Jurrien Bos and Fredrica Regiena Halsema.
