The oldest known ancestor on my mother's side is Aalbert Slagman. The naming in the first generations is somewhat confusing. In addition to the name ‘Slagman’ you see the name ‘in 't Slag’, Enneman and of course 'Kappert. Furthermore, the name 'Kappert' is sometimes spelled as ‘Kapper’, ‘Kappers‘ or ‘Kapperd’. Presumably, this report is not complete because there are still a large number of name carriers   (especially in Laren) I can not connect yet.
